Update: One lane of 21st Street opens as water main break repairs continue

A water main break closed S. 21st Street on the west side of Colorado Springs Tuesday.

On Wednesday morning, Colorado Springs Utilities said that one lane of southbound 21st had reopened between Busch Avenue and Gold Camp Road.

Both lanes of northbound 21st remain closed. Utilities says the lanes are expected to remain closed through 5 p.m. Wednesday.

The water main break was first reported Tuesday morning and 21st Street was closed in both directions all day Tuesday.
