Cold Stone Creamery pays it forward

Some people love ice cream and almost everyone loves free stuff.

Wednesday one shop in Colorado Springs was taking care of both groups of people.

The Cold Stone Creamery on North Academy gave away small cups of ice cream to the first 250 customers.

The only thing they were asked to do was to pay it forward.

The manager of the shop told us that any short-term losses from giving away some of the ice cream was more than made up by some of the stories they heard.

“One lady was saying she was unemployed but she appreciated it so much she went out and did a care package for some homeless people,” he said.

Steve Kozeleski says that he decided to give away the ice cream after hearing about similar promotions in other parts of the country.
