The Colorado Springs Fire Department fought a fire on the east side of the city Tuesday morning.

The fire burned at the Tanglewood Apartments in the 3800 block of Half Turn Road, which is near N. Academy Boulevard and N. Carefree Circle.

The two alarm fire took 20 minutes to bring under control.

One dog had to be rescued. No one was hurt.

The fire department says four units were badly damaged and are not safe to live in.

Initial reports are that the fire started on a deck, but that has not been confirmed.
