Fans flock to store for Broncos championship gear

Broncos fans in southern Colorado headed to sporting stores Monday to get their hands on new championship gear.

Dick’s Sporting Goods in Colorado Springs opened early, after the Broncos win Sunday night, and customers took advantage of the early hours.

“I’ve got a full day ahead, so I had to get down here before it’s gone too,” Sherri Jackson said.

Merchandise ranged from scarfs, to coffee mugs, to hoodies. T-shirts and hats were some of the top sellers.

“(I’m buying) the championship hat, shirts for the family,” Tanu Foifua said.

And fans have high hopes for the big game in two weeks.

“Broncos, all the way!” Jackson said. “It’s going to be a good game, but the Broncos are going to pull it off.”
