Boy, 3, escapes serious injury in fall from third story window

The Colorado Springs Police Department says a boy suffered bumps and bruises when he fell out of a third story apartment window.

The accident happened Thursday night in the 300 block of N. Murray Boulevard on the southeast side of town.

Police say the boy’s mother was cooking and opened the window to air out some smoke. She told officers her son was playing with toys when she stepped into the other room. She said that she walked back into the room just in time to see him push on the screen and fall out of the window.

The boy landed on a patch of dirt. He wasn’t seriously injured.
