Vandal smashes windows at downtown Springs business

The Colorado Springs Police Department says a man broke seven windows at Rutledge’s Monday evening.

The men’s clothing store is located in the 100 block of N. Tejon Street.

Police say a man used a piece of rebar or a crowbar to break the windows.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect was identified by police as Patrick Daily. He was arrested and faces charges of criminal mischief and reckless endangerment.

Police say Daily is homeless and was trying to get out of the cold.

Damage to the business is estimated at $13,000.
