Interim football coach at Pueblo East steps down

Pueblo School District 60 says East High school Interim Head Football Coach Lee Meisner is moving on.

Meisner took over as Interim Head Coach in April and agreed to coach the team through the 2015 season.

Meisner led the Eagles to their second straight 3A football championship.

“It was a difficult position, but he carried himself with the utmost class and was a great role model for our student athletes who all respected his leadership very much,” said East Principal Dr. Patrick Krumholz.

“We have a lot of great kids and talented coaches that will be returning to the program next year,” said East Athletic Director Andy Clementi. “We will continue to move forward and will be looking to find a replacement quickly,” he said.
