How do you pick your lucky Powerball numbers?

In less than 24 hours, someone will be a whole lot richer — $800 million to be exact.

It’s the largest Powerball jackpot in U.S. history and many are playing for their chances to win.

The Shell gas station on 8th Street in Colorado Springs was busy all night with customers hoping to get a piece of the money pie.

Most people said they were only taking their chances because the jackpot was so large.

Most also said they didn’t pick any special numbers; instead, they felt luckier letting the computer randomly choose them.

“I went with a Quick Pick because I figured it made my chances about as good as any, ” customer Alex Valdez said.

“I went random after Googling all day the best way to play and I found out it doesn’t make much of a difference, so if you don’t have numbers chosen, it’s good to do a Quick Pick,” customer Janet Cruz said.

Since most people let the computer choose for them, KRDO Newschannel 13 asked a psychic if she had any predictions for the jackpot or the winning numbers.

“I’m seeing an eight,” said Daniela Mouser, psychic at the Center for Powerful Living.

She said she has to meditate to concentrate on what she wants answers on.

After meditating, she felt that someone would claim Saturday’s prize, and it would be two or three people.

Mouser also thought the winning ticket had already been sold.

She had some suggestions for last-minute buyers.

“Clear your mind and go somewhere quiet to really think. Concentrate on the numbers and ask the universe to bring you the numbers in order and write them down as they come,” Mouser said.

But if no one claims this prize, ticket-buyers said they would be back for the next one.

“Oh, I’ll spend another $12, I want to win!” Cruz said.

The numbers will be announced at 9 Saturday night.
