St. Baldrick’s names new ambassadors

Five special young people are about to become ambassadors for nearly 200,000 kids with cancer, and one of them is from Southern Colorado.

Cheyenne Dyess was diagnosed with an aggressive form of lymphoma almost a year ago.

She was joined in her fight by friends and family, who started a Facebook page and held events to raise money for her treatment and for St. Baldrick’s.

Now she has been named as an ambassador for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.

“It is truly an honor. I am so excited to meet all their staff – if I haven’t met all their staff already. And it’s just super exciting,” she said.

After treatment, the lump in Cheyenne’s throat is gone, but her doctors say that she still needs more treatment to be declared cancer free.
