Position: Radio Account Executive

KRDO-AM/FM, located in beautiful Colorado Springs, Colorado, along the front range of the Colorado Rockies, is looking for a Radio Account Executive. This position is responsible to generate revenue for KRDO-AM/FM and KRDO.com. You can be a part of a radio station that is growing in listeners and revenue share.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The duties of this position include but are not limited to: Pursuing business from leads and accounts as assigned; assisting in setting and achieving sales projections; prospecting and closing new direct clients; developing a positive relationship with local clients and their agency of record; participating in the sales of regular and special programming and promotions; resolving billing and collection problems; increasing billing and share of business from existing clients; and meeting and/or exceeding all goals.

Requirements:

You must have previous sales experience, broadcast sales is preferred. You must be a self-starter with a highly motivated personality and maintain a positive attitude. Candidate must have a strong desire to help business owners grow their revenue. Key requirement to this position is that you exhibit strong communication skills and ability to build long term relationships. Candidate must have an outgoing personality and the ability to generate new business independently as well as working well as a team. Cold- Calling is a large part of this position and candidate must have a successful outside sales track record, not afraid to

knock on business owners’ doors and make phone calls to generate appointments.

Excellent organizational skills are required as well as a working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Please include cover letter when applying.
