Pueblo Police investigate report of shooting near Mineral Palace Park

Pueblo Police responded to a report of a shooting in a neighborhood northwest of downtown Tuesday evening.

The incident happened near the intersection of West Street and 19th Street, near Freed Middle School.

The Pueblo Chieftain reports that a man was walking down the street when someone in a passing vehicle fired a pellet gun, hitting him in the head.

The man was conscious and alert when he was taken to the hospital.
