Police come up empty handed after hours-long search for murder suspect
Pueblo police asked the public to be vigilant as officers continue their search for an accused killer.
The search began after four people ran from a suspicious vehicle near the skate park at around 4:08 a.m.
Jonathan Johnson, 18, and Dante Ortiz, 18, were taken into custody. Two others got away. Police quickly learned on of them was Dominik Jaramillo, 18. Jaramillo is suspected of shooting and killing Elijah Aguila, 16, on December 14.
Almost every officer on duty was requested to assist in the search. Police combed the area around the Arkansas River Trail near City Park for almost 9 hours.
Around 2:30 Monday afternoon, police announced that Jaramillo had not been located. They said he should be considered armed and dangerous.
Johnson and Ortiz remain behind bars on warrants for separate cases.
Police did not release any information about the other person they were looking for.
