Colorado College hockey player suspended

The National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) has issued a two-game suspension to Colorado College freshman forward Trey Bradley, in accordance with the conference’s supplemental discipline policy, the NCHC announced Tuesday, Dec. 22. The suspension stems from an illegal hit during the Tigers game at Alabama Huntsville on Friday, Dec. 18.

Bradley was suspended after a review of a play in which a hit was delivered to the head and neck area of a Alabama Huntsville player, who was not in possession of the puck, at 13:37 of the third period Friday at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville, Ala. A major penalty for cross-checking and a game disqualification were issued on the play. Bradley served his automatic one-game suspension for the disqualification in CC’s next game on Saturday, Dec. 19 against the Chargers.

Bradley will be required to serve the two-game suspension during Colorado College’s next series on Jan. 8-9 at St. Cloud State. Bradley is eligible to return for the Tigers the following series on Jan. 22-23 against North Dakota in Grand Forks.
