Board votes to keep Fire Chief Troy Rotramel despite allegations

During an executive session Thursday, the fire board voted to keep Stratmoor Hills Fire Chief Troy Rotramel, following allegations dating back to October.

Firefighters claim Rotramel made made sexual and prejudicial comments on the job.

The board investigated the claims and found them to be true, but voted to keep him in his position.

One board member voted to terminate Rotramel, but the vote failed 1 to 4. The chief will keep his position but is required to take sexual harassment and workplace manner classes.
