News station on-air as suspect robs bank

A suspected bank robber went to the well one too many times, and a TV news reporting team witnessed it on the air.

According to an Associated Press report, the Iowa news station was doing a live report from the scene of the crime when the suspect returned to rob the same bank a second time.

In the middle of his report, KIMT-TV’s reporter breaks away, saying “I have to go. I have to call 911.”

Police later apprehended the suspect south of Minneapolis, the AP story said.
