Pueblo man accused of murdering his 77-year-old grandmother
New Information:
PUEBLO, Colo. – Pueblo Police have made an arrest in the July 29, 2015 murder of Susan Hernandez, 77.
Hernandez was found murdered in her home in the 600 block of Moffat Avenue.
The suspect is her grandson, Anthony Sena, 29.
Police say Sena was arrested at his home at 11:30 Monday morning.
“I’m disgusted that my parents’ blood even flows through him because our parents would give the back of their shirt to anyone who was in need,” said Katrina LiVecchi, Hernandez’s daughter.
LiVecchi said it didn’t take the family long to suspect that Sena had something to do with the murder.
“She gave this grandson a lot of money to do her roof and he was making excuses why he wasn’t coming around,” she said.
Hernandez asked him for the money back, but she never received it and her grandson never ended up working on her roof. The morning of the investigation, KRDO NewsChannel 13 captured video of Sena outside of the home, dressed in a black shirt, where he was hugging a loved one.
“This grandson that they arrested held me in his arms while I cried. He comforted me,” LiVecchi said. “It makes my stomach sick knowing my mother’s murderer got murdered at the hands of this person and he had his arms around me.”
LiVecchi said Sena grew up across the street from his grandmother — a Catholic woman who raised seven children.
“I’m a forgiving person, but I’m sorry. I hope God forgives me because I can’t – I can’t forgive this murderer,” she said.
Sena is being held at the Pueblo County Jail and faces a charge of first degree murder.

Original Story:
A Pueblo family is asking for the public’s help finding the person who killed a mother of seven.
Police said Susan Hernandez, 77, was found dead inside of her home in the 600 block of Moffat Avenue on July 29 after firefighters were called to the home to put out a small fire. Police have ruled it a homicide.
“The last four months have been devastating, horrific. Our hearts are all broken. Our lives will never be the same. Never,” said Katrina LiVecchi, one of Hernandez’s seven children.
The coroner said Hernandez died of blunt force trauma to the head.
LiVecchi and her family are passing out flyers in Hernandez’s neighborhood and to surrounding businesses with a picture of Hernandez and information on the homicide. The family is praying that anyone with information about Hernandez’s death will contact Pueblo Crime Stoppers at 719-542-STOP or submit a tip at www.pueblocrimestoppers.com. Callers can remain anonymous and could earn a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest.
“We want justice for our mother,” LiVecchi said.
At first, the scene on Moffat Avenue back in July looked like a house fire. But when LiVecchi walked inside, she found there was much more to it.
“I realized I needed to find my mother so at that point I went back into the house,” LiVecchi said. “I went downstairs and I don’t want to say how I found her, but I found my mother murdered in her basement.”
Hernandez leaves behind 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Her family describes her as a devout Catholic who loved her family.
“Her sense of humor was amazing. She would say things just off the wall to make you laugh,” said Hernandez’s granddaughter, Larissa Gonzales.
Hernandez’s death comes at an already difficult time for the family. Her husband died of cancer in July.
“We just lost him and now her six months after that to a horrible crime,” LiVecchi said.
