‘American Horror Story’ actress dead at 43

By Faith Karimi and Joe Sutton CNN

DENVER – Pueblo Actress Rose Siggins, who played Legless Suzi on “American Horror Story: Freak Show,” died over the weekend in Denver, her manager said.

She was 43.

“At this time we can confirm her passing, but cannot provide any other information until we release an official statement,” her manager James Mullen said.

Siggins was born with sacral agenesis, a rare genetic disorder that led to the amputation of her legs at age 2.

“If you take a Barbie doll and remove her legs, the region you’re left with is the exact same region I have,” she wrote on her website.

Siggins said despite her disability, her parents focused on ensuring she lived a full life.

She went on to have two children, against most of her doctors’ wishes.

Siggins has been featured in the documentary “Extraordinary People,” which described her as having a “half body” but living a “whole life.”

Her “American Horror Story” colleagues mourned her loss.

“We are saddened to learn of the passing of Rose Siggins,” FX Networks said in a statement.

“She was beloved by everyone in the AHS family. She was a kind person, a loving mother and a very talented actor.”

Siggins is survived by her husband and two children.
