Officer gets stunned to raise money for toys

A Pueblo police officer has been stunned for a good cause.

Sgt. Danny Rutherford wanted to raise money for the Pueblo Police Department’s Toy Drive.

People donated $400 to watch him get shot with a stun gun.

He said even though it hurt, it was worth it.

“My muscles twitched a lot and everything else, but it was for a good cause for the toys for kids,” he said.

You don’t have to be stunned, but if you want to donate toys for the drive, you can drop off new toys at the Pueblo Police Department between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday until Dec. 23.
