Broadmoor celebrates holiday season with chocolate festival

The Broadmoor Hotel hosted its 7th annual holiday chocolate festival on Sunday.

It was a packed house for the event, which featured more than 100,000 chocolate samples.

Local and out-of-town vendors say it’s an exciting way to share sweet treats with community, and even get ahead on some holiday shopping.

“We have some things that are ready to go so that people can buy these items and buy them as gifts. Toys are fine, kids play with them for a little bit,and flowers die. But food, who doesn’t love food? Especially chocolate!” said Queneesha Meyers, Owner of Q’s Cakes and Cupcakes.

People sampled chocolate goodies from more than 85 booths at the festival.
