Three arrested in connection to death of Fremont County infant

The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office says three people are facing felony child abuse charges in connection to the death of a two-month old.

The sheriff’s office responded to a home on the 700 block of 4th Street in Penrose on September 2, 2015.

When deputies arrived, they found a two-month old infant who was dead.

The cause of the baby’s death has not been confirmed, but the sheriff’s office says a suspected hash oil lab was found inside the home. Toxicology results are pending.

The sheriff’s office says THC was confirmed to be in the system of a one year old who was removed from the home.

Logan Pederson, 26, Claxton “Buck” Wilson, 36, and Rachel Wilson, 28, were arrested.

Additional arrests are possible, according to investigators.

All three suspects are being held without bond at the Fremont County Jail.
