Denver Police Officer in critical condition after being shot

A Denver Police Officer was shot Wednesday afternoon.

The shooting happened at around 4 p.m. on December 2, 2015 in the area of 25th Street and Lowell Boulevard.

Police say the suspect is dead.

The officer is in critical but stable condition. Police say he is expected to survive.

The Denver Police Department was assisting another law enforcement agency with serving a warrant when the shooting happened.
