Civilian victims in Planned Parenthood shooting identified

The identities of all three people who died in Friday’s shooting at a Colorado Springs Planned Parenthood are now public.

Jennifer Markovsky, 35, of Colorado Springs was at Planned Parenthood with a friend when the shooting happened. Her friend was shot in the hand.

Markovsky’s father told The Denver Post that she was a kind-hearted, lovable person with two children.

The other civilian victim has been identified as Ke’Arre Stewart, 29.

According to a Go Fund Me page that was set up for Stewart’s family, he was an army veteran who served one tour in Iraq.

Stewart’s friend, Amburh Butler, told the Denver Post that he was a father of two. “If you were hungry, he fed you. If you were cold and needed a ride, he was just there. He was a good friend and an amazing listener,” Butler told the Post.

UCCS Police Officer Garrett Swasey also died in the shooting.
