FBI Profiler: There are similarities between mass shooters

A retired FBI profiler is weighing in on the shooting, saying Black Friday Shooting suspect Robert Dear has some striking similarities to previous mass shooters.

Pete Klismet says those cases include “The Unabomber,” Ted Kaczynski, and the man esponsible for a series of anti-abortion and anti-gay bombings across the United States in the 90’s, Eric Rudolph.

He says all of these men lived in isolation.

Klismet also adds that they were “social misfits” with built-up resentment over time.

“The fact of the matter is there’s a very long history behind them that has led them to the place where they are. And often times that frustration that anger has built toward a certain entity or perhaps toward certain people. It may be a month, it may be a year but it’s something that does not happen overnight,” Klismet explained.

Klismet added that people who commit these crimes tend to internalize anger and won’t accept blame themselves.
