Police hold procession to honor fallen officer

Colorado Springs police, first responders and the state patrol held a procession for Officer Garrett Swasey Saturday at 3 a.m. The fallen officerwas escorted from the crime scene to the El Paso County Coroner’s Office.

Officers said they wanted to honor Swasey, 44, who left behind a wife and two young children.

A gunman stated firing in the parking lot at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado Springs Friday– unleashing a barrage of bullets with a “cold stone face,” a witness said.

Police Officer Garrett Swasey died in the attack Friday, along with two civilians who have not been identified, authorities said.
