Bishop Michael Sheridan calls shooting ‘act of pure evil’

Reverend Michael Sheridan, Bishop of Colorado Springs, issued the following statement Saturday:

“Yesterday, our community experienced an act of pure evil at the local Planned Parenthood clinic. First, and most importantly, let us keep the victims and their families in our prayers. Let us also pray for all who were physically unharmed but experienced the horror of being trapped in or near Planned Parenthood. There is absolutely no excuse for this senseless act of violence. All human life is sacred from the moment of conception to natural death. Let us continue to pray for peace and healing for all involved in this tragedy. And let us give thanks for the first responders who bravely protected the public and saved many lives.”
