Smaller Black Friday crowds

Some stores had a crazy start to Black Friday on Thanksgiving night, but as the sun rose, the crowds got smaller and smaller.

There weren’t many people hitting the sales at the Walmart on 8th Street around 9:30 a.m.

“We barely had to deal with anyone at all and everything was still pretty well stocked,” shopper Haley Palmer said.

She and her husband didn’t mind.

“It was great. We got in and out and were able to get everything we needed,” she said.

“Usually by the time we get there, everything is sold out, so this was nice,” Hunter Palmer said.

Many shoppers said they were out in hunt of cheap electronics and toys.

Others said they were just running the usual errands and would wait for sales on Cyber Monday.

“I think the cold weather kept a lot of people home, which was great for us!” Palmer said.
