Slick conditions, multiple accidents force partial closure of I-25 overnight

Slick conditions forced a portion of I-25 to close in Colorado Springs late Thursday into early Friday morning.

Southbound I-25 shutdown at Uintah Street around 11:30 p.m. after multiple accidents in the area, police said. All lanes reopened around 1:10 a.m.

Two of the crashes involved a parked police car that had its emergency lights activated.

The officer was out of his car investigating a separate crash when his car was hit. He was not hurt.
