Black Friday travel in Monument
Normally, Monument gets the heavier part of winter storms and the traffic issues that come with them.
Today’s story was a refreshingly different one.
CDOT did a great job of keeping the roads clear and drivers did a great job of keeping them accident free as they went about their Black Friday activities.
Holiday traveler, Chris White, summed it up perfectly:
“It seems like everybody is acclimated, and everybody knows how to drive safely. everybody’s slowing it down,” White said.
Monument only saw two and a half inches overnight. However, more snow is expected later today and tonight.
