UPDATE: Attempted murder suspect arrested after standoff with Pueblo police

A man accused of attempted murder in Pueblo was arrested after a standoff with police Tuesday night.

Officers were called to the 2200 block of East 12th Street around 8 p.m. on a disturbance.

A man and woman were arguing in the front yard of a home when officers arrived. The man ran into the house after seeing officers, police said.

That man was identified as Robert Hallmark, who was wanted on suspicion of shooting a man in the face on Nov. 18.

Police tried to call Hallmark out of the house, but were unsuccessful. The SWAT team was then called out.

After obtaining a search warrant, SWAT officers deployed tear gas into the home, police said.

Hallmark eventually came out of the house and was taken into custody.

He was taken to jail on charges of Attempted 2nd Degree Homicide.
