Two Colorado Springs banks robbed Tuesday

The Colorado Springs Police Department says two banks in the city were robbed Tuesday.

The first robbery happened at 11:50 a.m. at the Key Bank in the 3600 block of Hartsel Drive.

Police say a woman in her 20s got away with an unknown amount of money. She is described as skinny and was wearing sunglasses and a head scarf.

The second robbery happened at 3:52 p.m. at the Herring Bank in the 3100 block of N. Nevada Avenue.

Police say that in that robbery, a man in his 50s handed the teller a note demanding cash. He got away with an unknown amount of money.

The man had salt and pepper-colored hair and was wearing a black BB cap with red trim and a red logo.
