Man arrested following shots fired inside apartment

A man was taken into custody Monday night, after police say he fired shots inside a Colorado Springs apartment.

Police were called out to the 3600 block of Parkmoor Village Drive Monday night, to investigate a possible assault and shots fired. As police were on their way, more calls came in reporting shots fired.

Police said while intoxicated, a man fired a weapon inside an apartment multiple times, and that bullets went into at least one neighboring apartment. No one was hit. Officers went into the apartment and took the suspect into custody.

Robert McCladon, 43, faces multiple charges, including attempted first degree murder, felony menacing and prohibited use of a weapon.

Police think the incident stemmed from a domestic disturbance. The people that had been inside the apartment were found safe, and no one was hurt.
