Water main break closes Colorado Springs street

A water main break on the northeast side of Colorado Springs caused some major back ups for drivers.

Colorado Springs Utilities says that Union was closed just east of the intersection with Academy after the water main break.

Crews worked on the pipe most of Monday morning, but by the afternoon it was still broken and traffic was still being re-routed.

This is the third water main break in the neighborhood in the last few months.
