Charity ball raises thousands of dollars for homeless veterans
The Elks Lodge in Colorado Springs raised thousands of dollars Saturday night to benefit homeless veterans.
Every year the fraternal group holds its charity ball to profit a charity. This year, all money raised went toward homeless veterans in Colorado Springs
In one night, the Elks Lodge raised thousands of dollars from nearly 150 donors.
“Our veterans have given so much of their time and bodies and lives. We need to help them as best as we can. They’re the first ones that seem to go to the homeless route,” said Vicki Stermitz, club manager.
Elk Lodge members also will be giving 50 thanksgiving dinners to 50 families in need Sunday. If you want to help just contact the Elks Lodge.
