Volunteers make prosthetic hand for teen

A group of volunteers are helping build a prosthetic hand for a Colorado Springs teenager.

The project, called “3D Delaney,” was started in February. It’s a one of-a-kind hand made with 3D printing.

The prosthesis is being made for 13-year-old Delaney, who was born with an underdeveloped right hand.

“The idea is that this is going to be able to help her with her day to day activities school work things like that,” said Chris Vestan, founder of Pikes Peak Makerspace.

The hand will be given to the teen at no cost and will be ready in a few months

The project is being shared around the world to help other kids with the same issues.
