UPDATED: CSPD releases sketch of man wanted for indecent exposure

The Colorado Springs Police Department has released a sketch of a man wanted for indecent exposure and attempted sexual assault on a child.

The man is described as a white male, 40 to 50 years old. He is bald with a pronounced stocky neck and hair on his chin. The man walks with a limp. He was last seen with what appears to be a light colored mini-van possibly a Ford or Mercury.

On Monday, November 16 th , CSPD put out an alert that the man was involved in an attempted sexual assault on a child. It happened around 2:00 AM, in the area of 5150 Airport Road, the Canyon Ridge Mobile Home Park.

According to detectives, a young girl was awoken by a knocking sound at her bedroom window. The man climbed through the child’s bedroom window.

“Around 2, 2:05 I heard screams so I got up and ran straight to the bedroom,” said one of the victim’s parents.

We are not reporting the family members’ names to protect their privacy.

The intruder asked the victim her name and attempted to pull her underwear down. She then screamed. The man threatened her before exiting out the bedroom window.

“He told her, ‘If you scream again I’m going hurt you.’ Then she screamed at the top of her lungs and that’s what woke us up,” said one of the victim’s parents.

The victim’s father heard the child scream and he ran to the bedroom, but the man was gone.
