Westbound I-70 reopens west of Denver

The Colorado Department of Transportation closed westbound Interstate 70 between C-470 and Silverthorne Friday because of crashes and wintry weather.

The interstate reopened at around 6:20 p.m., but conditions remain hazardous.

Traffic cameras showed snow covered roads and reduced visibility in the area.
