Season of Sharing food drive lends hand this holiday season

The second annual Season of Sharing food drive kicked off Friday morning.

KRDO NewsChannel 13, KRDO News Radio, and the Salvation Army of El Paso County have teamed up to collect canned goods and nonperishable food to help people in need this holiday season.

“We’re going to serve over 3,000 meals this Thanksgiving, we’re going to do home deliveries in three different locations, and this food does make a difference in that food drive,” Salvation Army Maj. Richard Larson said.

Items are being collected at American Furniture Warehouse on Chestnut Street in Colorado Springs until 6pm Friday.
