Police identify man killed in drive-by shooting

Pueblo police have identified the man who was killed in a deadly drive by shooting in Pueblo on Sunday, Nov. 15, 2015.

They say 31-year-old Daniel Sanchez was killed in that shooting.

Pueblo police are investigating a drive-by shooting on the city’s east side.

Police were called out to Hudson Avenue and Sixth Street around 8:05 p.m. on a report of shots fired.

Capt. Eric Bravo said it appears people inside two vehicles were shooting at each other, but said witnesses gave police conflicting accounts. No one was injured.

Bravo said multiple shots were fired and the shooting appears to be gang related.

Bravo told KRDO NewsChannel 13 that one of the vehicles involved in the shooting is a four-door, silver sedan, but he did not have more specific information.

The shooting comes on the heels of two homicides in Pueblo — one Sunday night and the other Monday morning. Police have not made any arrests in either homicide.
