Few delays at the Springs Airport

As the weather moved in this morning, so did a number of delays and cancellations.

At the Denver International Airport, dozens of flights were delayed, but according to officials at the Colorado Springs airport only one flight was cancelled – an 11:30 American Airlines flight to Dallas.

Tuesday afternoon, the arrival and departure board looked like any other day and the terminal was busy with passengers who were coming and going.

But the morning delays in Denver did filter through the system and caused a few travelers to change their plans.

One of them had to switch airlines, but he’s optimistic that he’ll be able to get home.

“We’ve been doing some checking and it looks like Dallas is ready for us and they’ve guaranteed appropriate passage, so we should be good,” said Fran Brennan.

The FAA said that delays in Denver are less than 15 minutes. to most destinations, but calling ahead is recommended.
