Drivers using extra caution through Woodland Park

Snow plows and crews are getting ready in Teller County for Tuesday’s commute.

Drivers heading through Woodland Park said the roads haven’t been too difficult to drive on as long as they take it extra slow.

Businesses in the city above the clouds said they were empty compared to normal Tuesday night, but they saw a big rush earlier Monday before the storm hit.

“We’ve been really slow tonight for dine-ins which is pretty typical when the weather is like this but we do get more delivery business,” AJ’s Pizzeria manager Bryce Vervalin said.

“People are being smart and staying home. That’s what you should do – make good decisions and wait until the snow is done so we can do our jobs and everyone is safer,” Woodland Park resident Michael Galli said.
