UPDATE: No ‘immediate threat’ at Cheyenne Mountain High School
Police say there is no “immediate threat” to Cheyenne Mountain High School, and they are in contact with a juvenile who reportedly threatened to carry out a shooting there.
No arrests have been made yet, but police said the investigation in ongoing.
On Thursday at 7 p.m., officers performed a welfare check on a juvenile in the 600 block of Robinglen Court. At the same time, the Safe2Tell program received several dozen reports of alleged threats that were sent by text message, police said in a news release Friday.
Parents received an email from Superintendent Walt Cooper asking them to talk to their children and report any threatening messages they may have seen.
