Springs Rescue Mission moves toward expanding facility
Springs Rescue Mission is moving one step closer to having a year-round homeless services hub.
The non-profit submitted an application to Colorado Springs city planners this week.
Construction consists of two phases:
The first phase will convert four buildings owned by the non-profit, into two.
The second will add a kitchen that can host up to 200 people.

“We will provide a number of services both on our own as well as working with partner agencies who operate in a number of different arenas in our community providing services and resources and programs,” said Stu Davis, with the Springs Rescue Mission.
The project is expected to cost $13.8 million dollars total.
