Springs police investigate school bomb threat

Colorado Springs Police investigated a report of a bomb threat at a southeast side school Thursday.

The Ambassador’s Academy is a K-12 school located in the 2000 block of Jet Wing Drive, near S. Academy Blvd. and Chelton Rd.

School director Cherry Shephard tells KRDO NewsChannel 13 that around 2 p.m., someone called and said they were on their way to the school with a bomb.

Police were called to investigate and the school was locked down for about an hour.

126 students attend the school.

Shephard said parents are being notified about the incident.
