Colorado Springs police investigate deadly crash

Colorado Springs police is investigating a deadly crash Wednesday night.

It happened near the 6300 block of Source Center Point, near North Powers and Dublin Boulevards around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Police said a car heading north on Powers lost control, crossed the center median and went into the southbound lanes.

The car then hit several parked cars on Source Center Point, police said.

A 62-year-old man was taken to a local hospital, but died a short time later, police said.

It is unknown if drugs, alcohol or speed were factors in the crash, police said. The Colorado Springs Police Department’s Major Accident Unit is investigating.
