Inmate caught after walking out of Pueblo County Jail
An inmate who walked away from the Pueblo County Jail Sunday night has been captured.
Deputies said Peter Aragon, 39, worked in the jail’s kitchen and ran out of an open door Sunday night around 6:30 p.m. while taking out the trash.
Aragon was caught by authorities around 9 p.m. near the 4th Street Bridge, deputies said.
Aragon had 123 days left in a sentence for Contempt of Court, deputies said. He now faces more charges after running from the jail.
