El Paso County murder suspect may have hitchhiked from northern Colorado to commit crimes
The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office says a man who is accused of killing a man and shooting a woman in the Black Forest area may have hitchhiked here from Greeley.
Greeley is about 130 miles north of Colorado Springs.
The sheriff’s office says it has received credible information that Maxwell Garihan may have hitchhiked from Greeley to northern El Paso County on October 15, 2015. His alleged crimes happened late that night or early the next morning.
The sheriff’s office says Garihan was known to hitchhike regularly in Greeley and did not have a vehicle.
Anyone who saw him hitchhiking or who gave him a ride between Greeley and Colorado Springs on October 15 is asked to call 719-390-5555.
