Hundreds of soldiers return to Mountain Post

Two waves of soldiers returned home Friday from the 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division at Fort Carson. In each homecoming ceremony, more than 200 soldiers returned to U.S. soil.

The soldiers were deployed in February in support of operations in Southwest Asia, including operational and support and security cooperation activities in 13 different countries in the region.

Throughout the month of October, nearly 2,000 Fort Carson soldiers from the same unit returned to the Mountain Post. Nearly 2,000 more are expected home in the coming weeks.
