Pueblo County denies grow to make marijuana-infused products

A marijuana grow outside Beulah in western Pueblo County has been denied the right to make marijuana-infused products.

Pueblo County Commissioners voted unanimously against the proposal Monday because they said there wasn’t enough confidence in it and it didn’t fit with the community.

A majority of the people in the commissioner’s chamber were against allowing Colorado Natural Health Centers to make products.

“I couldn’t be happier with this decision. We really have been doing our due diligence. What we just presented was a cry in the wilderness for all rural counties,” Beulah property owner Carole Poysti said.

Colorado Natural Health Centers didn’t want to comment on the decision.

The company is still allowed to grow marijuana on its property.
