Colorado Springs women learn self defense techniques at free class

A Colorado Springs man is making it his mission to help others in the fight against assault.

Dozens of women got a lesson in self defense today at Calvary Family Martial Arts for free.

Isaac Costley says teaching others how to defend themselves at Calvary is his saving grace after growing up in a rough neighborhood,

“My wife and I have made this our passion to get this out to anyone and everyone,” Costley explained.

Costley and his wife Heather show women what they need to know during an attack.

“Ignoring the possiblity of that happening does not stop the possibility of that happening. We have to learn how to defend ourselves,” Costley added.

Costley says there will be several more classes before the end of the year.
