Children’s Hospital Colorado warns of fundraising scam

Children’s Hospital Colorado says scammers are using its name to try to steal your money.

The hospital says it has received multiple reports from people being approached by door-to-door salesmen claiming to be raising money for Children’s by selling books or magazines.

KRDO NewsChannel 13 first warned you about this scam in July, but Children’s says it continues to receive reports from victims in the Denver and Colorado Springs areas.

Children’s says that while it does have hundreds of community partners and fundraising events each year, it never uses door-to-door salesmen to raise money.

If you ever have a question about a person or organization that says it is raising money for Children’s Hospital Colorado, you can call 720-777-1700 to confirm if they are legitimate.
